This is my 50th year of going to SARATOGA, and my 8th summer of working in the mutuel dept. The quality of racing should be very good. Purses may seem a little lower,but they have a new "sliding scale" based on field size.
Alan Garcia, J.Velasquez,E.Prado,& J. Leparoux will dominate jockey standings. Garret Gomez (will stay at Delmar).
Here are 2 good plays for opening day.
1st race: STEPASIDE.
9th race: HOT DIXIE CHICK [combination of asmussen and albardo is hard to beat].
